Introduction: Melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH) is an orexigenic neuropeptide which is located in the lateral hypothalamus and regulate the energy balance. MCH deficient mice are hypophagic, lean and do not develop hepatosteatosis when fed on high fat diet.
